I drove up to Providence, Rhode Island for the first time in years this past Saturday to photograph Vanna again. I bought a new lens specifically for this show - the Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8. I was excited to finally have a full frame zoom lens. A special shout out to my pal Lori Gutman, a fellow photographer, who recommended it to me. This lens is a fraction of the price of the Nikon lens I was going to get and the quality, autofocus, and build of this lens is fantastic.
The drive to Rhode Island took 5 hours thanks to Connecticut's traffic, but it was definitely worth the drive. Despite the fact I left my flash at home and had to shoot this show on 12,800 ISO, I fell in love with photography all over again. I also gave video a shot for the first time. You can watch the short clip I made by clicking the image that says Vanna!
It's always a pleasure to see and photograph Vanna. I can't wait until next time.
